Information for Visitors
Visitation appointments must be requested by the inmate.
Once the first visit has taken place, a follow-up appointment can also be arranged in person in the visiting area in the presence of the inmate.
Visiting hours can be found on our website.
When scheduling an appointment, it must be specified whether it is a visit involving children. If a visit has been scheduled as a children's visit and the children are not present, the visit will not take place!
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that the inmate will not be transferred before the scheduled visit, which may prevent the visit from occurring. The visitation department has no influence over this.
Visits generally take place without acoustic surveillance.
Only in the case of remand prisoners with a court order (restriction order in accordance with §119 StPO) are visits acoustically monitored.
Visitors must first apply for a visitation permit from the competent court or public prosecutor's office. During such visits, only German may be spoken.
If this is not possible, a court-sworn interpreter must be present. In this case, please clarify with the court who is responsible for arranging and paying for the interpreter.
Contact Visit or Video Call
Please contact the inmate in writing. The inmate will then submit a visitation request either for an in-person contact visit or a video call and will send you the necessary documents.
